Activity Overview
This guided hike takes you deep into the heart of Tamarind Falls, also known as “7 Cascades.” The trail leads through tropical vegetation, where the sound of cascading water surrounds you. Along the way, you’ll encounter several waterfalls, natural basins perfect for a refreshing dip, and scenic viewpoints ideal for photos. It’s an immersive nature experience suitable for adventure lovers and nature enthusiasts. This hike involves steep inclines, rocky descents, and uneven, root-covered trails. Certain sections require the use of hands for balance and support, such as gripping onto branches or rocks to navigate more technical areas. Strong knees and good overall fitness are essential to manage the challenging terrain safely.

We progress in a tropical undergrowth between palm and banana trees to discover, one after the other, five of the thirteen stunning waterfalls of Tamarind Falls.
Located in the south-west of Mauritius, this hike offers a unique blend of lush greenery, refreshing natural pools, and breathtaking views of the island’s interior.
Walking distance: 5,5km.
Days operation: Monday - Sunday.

Activity Requirements
Participants should have a moderate fitness level and wear sports clothing and closed shoes with good grip.
A valid photo ID is required.
Bring water, sunscreen, a towel, swimwear if you wish to swim, and insect repellent.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Arrive 15 minutes before the hike begins.
Not suitable for: Pregnant women, babies in backpacks, children under 10 years old, individuals with mobility impairments, elderly individuals with health issues or limited stamina, people with serious medical conditions, individuals recovering from surgery or injury.
Meeting Location: Henrietta Bus Terminal Please note that the meeting point is not the actual starting point of the hike.
Once all participants have arrived, you will need to follow the guide—either in your taxi or rental car—to the trailhead, located approximately 1,5 km away.

Exclusion
