During this hike, we will get the opportunity to discover the true wealth of our Mauritian forests. The trail passes through dense tropical vegetation, home to rare bird species and unique plants found only in Mauritius. Surrounded by panoramic mountain landscapes, rivers, and waterfalls, this hike is perfect for nature lovers and adventurers seeking an authentic outdoor experience. While this hike is not technical and does not require advanced climbing skills, a good level of stamina is essential. The trail includes a 45-minute uphill section with steep inclines and rocky terrain, where using hands for balance may be necessary. Strong knees and good overall fitness are important for safely navigating this section.

Activity Requirements
Participants should have a moderate fitness level and wear sports clothing with good hiking shoes.
A valid photo ID is required.
Bring sufficient drinking water, sunscreen, a hat, and insect repellent.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Arrive 15 minutes before the hike begins.
Not suitable for: Pregnant women, babies in backpacks, children under 10 years old, individuals with mobility impairments, elderly individuals with health issues or limited stamina, people with serious medical conditions, individuals recovering from surgery or injury.
Minimum age requirement : 10 years old.
Meeting Location: Riverview Commercial Center in Black River (facing "La Balise Marina" / "Trois Bras Store") Meeting time: 07:50 AM (All year long).
